About Me

I’m a proud product of public education. I grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Northside ISD, where my mom taught at Clark High School for 35 years. My dad’s an electrician, and I spent a lot of weekends and summers working as his helper on side jobs — hauling tools, running wire, and learning how to pay attention to the details. That experience taught me the value of hard work, how to solve problems on the fly, and the importance of finishing what you start — lessons that stuck with me and helped shape my career.

Those early years gave me a deep respect for building things the right way, which is what led me to architecture school at UTSA. I’ve always been drawn to how things are built — and how they can be built better. Later, I earned an MBA in Project Management from Texas A&M–San Antonio and a Graduate Certificate in Urban and Regional Planning from UTSA. It might sound like a lot of school, but what it really taught me was how to see the big picture, manage moving parts, and lead with clarity — things that matter whether you’re running a job site or helping guide a school district. I’ve built my career in both architecture and construction and today I serve as Director of Operations for a Texas-based construction firm. I manage teams, budgets, and real-world decisions every day — the kind that impacts people, not just paperwork.

My wife is an AHISD graduate, and we chose to raise our family here because of the schools and the strong sense of community. Our two daughters are proud current and future Mules, and like any parent, I want to make sure the district stays strong — not just for them, but for every student.
